FundsOn GIVE50 campaign partners with businesses to give back to local schools
Reston, VA – FundsOn is partnering with Foster’s Grille, Red Hot & Blue and Pizza Go Round in a special charitable giving campaign, GIVE 50, to run September 26-30, 2011. During this week, participating restaurants will donate 50 percent of qualifying purchases to local schools and non-profit organizations. Fairfax and Loudoun County residents should purchase restaurant vouchers online at www.fundson.com. Residents purchasing a voucher from Foster’s Grille, Red Hot & Blue and Pizza Go Round will also receive an added benefit of receiving 10 percent discount on each purchase. ![]() As Fairfax County and Loudoun County public school systems continue to make budget cuts affecting 273 schools, many schools are forced to seek additional funding in order to support programs such as athletics and fine arts. In 2010, a $2.2 billion budget with nearly $200M of budget cuts was approved by the Fairfax County School Board. Loudoun County Public Schools have experienced similar budget cuts even though enrollment has increased by approximately 3,000 students from 2010.

FundsOn gives community members an effortless way to give back to their community. Partnering with more than 100 local businesses, FundsOn provides the opportunity for residents to shop at local businesses while a portion of their purchase is donated back to the school or organization of their choice. Community members can register for free at FundsOn.com and select the donation recipient of their choice. Once registered, members may purchase a voucher from any participating business and enjoy local services such as dining, spa treatments or car washes. As strategic partners with FundsOn, these businesses will then donate between 5 and 20 percent of the voucher value to the purchaser’s favorite local organization. Next week’s GIVE 50 campaign allows participants a unique opportunity to receive 50 percent of their purchase as a donation back to their schools.
How it Works: Visit www.FundsOn.com to search for your school. If you find your school, go ahead and become a supporter to purchase the vouchers online. If you don't find your school, you should contact your school principal/PTA/Booster and request them to sign up your school with FundsOn.
